Covid-19 Safety

Healthy & Safety

*Office will remain closed unless you have a booked appointment

*Studio Boutique will remain closed unless you have a booked appointment.

*Waiting room will be closed

*Multiple entrances and exits will be used when applicable.

*Parents/guardians will be asked to wait outside or in their vehicles

*Sanitization stations will be located inside each door so students can sanitize upon entry and exit

*Bathroom A is for Studio A use only and Bathroom B for studio B use only

*There will be no cross over of students in studio A or B

*Mask are optional for students and staff while dancing in their assigned social distance box. Mask are required through building or when social distancing is not possible.

*No personal items, other then water and associated dance shoes, will be permitted in the building.

*Detailed sign in and out sheets will be mandatory to ensure proper contact tracing. Ex: Attendance

*Students will not be permitted to be in the building unless they are in the class. No loitering in the lobby after classes.



Sanitization of Workplaces


*Frequently touched surfaces (doorknobs, light switches, toilet handles, sinks, barres, etc) will be disinfected between each class.

*Studio floors will be disinfected between each age group.

*Only disinfectants that have a Drug Identification Number (DIN) or low-level hospital grade disinfectants will be used.

*Disposable towels and spray cleaners, or disposable wipes, will be made available to regularly clean and disinfect commonly used surfaces.

*Safety signage has been purchased to assist students and staff in proper procedures.

*Fabric chairs have all been replaced in the waiting area with plastic chairs. This will allow them to easily be wiped down if they are used.




How to Ensure Physical Distancing


*Only registered students may enter the building, when advised by the teacher, to maintain appropriate physical distance before and after their scheduled class time.

*Boxes will be taped out on the floor for students to stay inside to guarantee distance between staff and fellow dancers.

*Space markers will be placed in common areas and classrooms to ensure two metre physical distancing requirements are adhered to at all times.

*Parents/guardians must sign an acknowledgment of policy agreements.


Screening Procedures


*All individuals, including students, parents/guardians, staff, contractors, and volunteers will be screened prior to arrival. Entry will be denied to anyone showing COVID 19 Symptoms.

*Screeners will take appropriate precautions when screening, including maintaining a distance of at least two metres (6 feet) from those being screened.

*Asking “Did the person have close contact with anyone with acute respiratory Illness or travelled outside of Ontario in the past 14 days?”

*“Does the person have a confirmed case of COVID-19 or had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19?”
